It has been several months in the making, but today is the day; today is launch day! I am very happy to present the freshly re-designed Kevin Dench Design website. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I enjoyed the re-design.
A Little History
The first design of this website was when I was in college taking web design. You know, the typical introduction to college-level web design. We had been tasked with getting hosting, and coming up with a concept for a web site. I was thinking I would be a graphic designer when I grew up, so I decided to register the domain of Kevin Dench Design.
A couple of years later I re-designed the site again, but didn’t really to have the time to clean it up the way I wanted due to time constraints. This left the door open of course for another re-design. After graduating I got a job at a Denver-based web design company. This is where I learned about the wonderful world of pre-processors and my love and passion for web and graphic design really started to grow.
In the fall of that year I created a freshly re-designed version of my website. One you can see here. This version, the 3rd version, held up for about a year before I took what I learned in my profession and gave it another facelift. This is the version you see now.
The Visitor Experience
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to make it the best possible experience for my visitors. I tried not to change the navigational elements of the site too much. I wanted to have this version of the site be a fresh, yet familiar experience. That being said, if you find any problems with the website, just let me know. I’m happy to consider constructive criticisms.
The pages are freshly re-designed versions of their former selves, but I didn’t mess with the logo or the brand look-and-feel. More on that in another post.
For right now, I just want to officially welcome you to the site. Have a look around and see if you can discover some of the new features I have added since the last iteration.
